nicole resides with her husband, craig, in the foothills of denver, colorado. together they raised three children. nicole met her husband while attending montana state university. it was there that they became young parents and started a family. while raising their children, nicole owned multiple businesses coaching women in business and life. she volunteered at organizations caring for single pregnant and parenting mothers and was a board member for her local pregnancy resource center. nicole took her experiences and passion over 30 years and created The Avi Project.

kathleen widlundlicensed counseling partnerkathleen widlund is a licensed professional counselor. she earned her bachelor’s degree from the university of minnesota, and her MA in counseling psychology from the university of st.Thomas in st. paul minnesota. she is passionate about helping our clients identify and seek their purpose, uncover and overcome obstacles, and maximize joy in daily living.

lisa wormernutritional therapy partnerlisa wormer is a functional nutritional therapist. she will work with our clients to create the best diet and supplement plan for both her and the baby. together they will identify the healthy foods they love, and the level of cooking they desire, to create a daily menu they'll love to eat that will nourish her and the baby.

melissa clappcertified trained birth doulamelissa is a trained birth doula, currently certifying with DONA international. she has worked closely with college students throughout her career in higher education in residence life. serving as a doula with the Avi Project is a sweet intersection of her passion for supporting college students and supporting individuals through pregnancy. as a birth doula, melissa believes in equipping and empowering individuals throughout their pregnancy, labor, and in the first few weeks following birth.

ryanne hillcertified dietician partnerryanne is a colorado native who loves the outdoors and everything food! growing up she could see the power that food has on the body. she knew she wanted to combine her passion for food and science with her desire to help others. ryanne has a degrees in bachelor of science in athletic training, bachelor of science in dietetics:, master of science in nutrition and physical performance.
she has professional experience in division I collegiate athletics, recreational and strongman gyms, public schools and hospitals. |
rachel flowershealth & wellness partnerrachel earned her MS in sport and exercise science from the university of northern colorado in 2022 and is an ACSM-certified personal trainer. rachel loves taking group fitness classes at her local gym, running with her babies, husband, and dog around Northern colorado's beautiful trails, cooking dishes from different cuisines and feeding her (hungry) sourdough starter.
